The Clix Concept looks like a traditional sports coupe at first glance, but in fact it is a compact 4WD 2+2pack with more high-tech features than one might imagine. The notion of a sports car with the capabilities of a pickup and SUV is about as extreme as a 'crossover' can get.[says who?]

The Clix was designed at Hyundai's European Design Centre in Frankfurt and being that it was the centre's first completed design, the level of effort they put into it is apparent.[citation needed]

The most striking feature is the transparent roof, collapsible into four parts. Six motors combine forces to transform the Clix from a coupe to a targa top to a full-blown cabriolet, or, after storing the roof panels under the rear seats, to a pickup truck.

The car is a bit wide at 68.4 inches (1738 mm), but the length is under 155.8 inches (3959 mm) and height is 51.1 inches (1300 mm); seating four passengers in a car that size is a feat in itself.[citation needed]

The engine is a direct-injection 2.2 L straight-4 with a maximum output of 302 BHP. The drive system is a full-time 4WD and tyres are Michelin 255/45R19. The transmission employs a six-speed sequential gearbox, and the trim features various gadgets (like the small foldable cameras in place of the rear view mirror) that imbue the car with a high-tech feel, like something straight out Science Fiction.[citation needed]
